Gina Martin is a Kansas City based illustrator and surface designer who works long, happy hours in her home studio creating art for products.

She graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute and afterward began her career as a designer for Hallmark Cards. Gina’s extensive experience and success at Hallmark inspired her to follow a new path by starting her own business as an independent designer in 2001.

Since then, she’s been fortunate to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the retail, fabric, gifts, tabletop & social expression industries. 

Gina’s crisp, colorful, and happy collections are inspired by her love of all things vintage (whether it’s furniture, fashion, buttons, textiles or kitchen gadgets) as well as folk art & traditional crafts.

In her spare hours Gina enjoys knitting, reading, sewing and spending time with her husband, Peter, and their two small dogs, Boo & Cricket.
